Black and White

In black and white,

I see myself clearly.

No distractions, just shadows.

What lies underneath, the only truth I seek.

In black and white,

I see myself in extremes.

Polarities.

Contradictory.

Born during a Scorpio afternoon’s horizon.

Aries mother, Taurus father.

Sunday,

After

Noon.

In black and white,

the array of colors draw breath between lines.

In this moment exists an elevated definition in the brown of your skin.

For no one wants to live a dull life, it seems.

Wondering where negatives could shine beauty upon a finished product.

In black and white,

I blend with my traumas and triggers.

Lingering longingly in the                white space,

                                                             pink matter.

We become one.

I forgive myself,

  forgiving them too.

creating space for emergence of the divine self.

In black and white,

                                  I lost you.

We are frozen in frames others may never

be blessed enough to witness.

a short term, serendipitous moment on the brain.

Embedded in your mind’s eye.

behind being camera shy,

                                              you saw me.

in a different language, I didn’t quite yet understand.
